Awestruck Wonder - Day Seven: Glory To The King!

“Now may the God of peace

who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead,

that great Shepherd of the sheep,

through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

make you complete in every good work to do His will,

working in you what is well pleasing in His sight,

through Jesus Christ,

to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.”

Hebrews 13:20-21 NKJV

As we bask in all we’ve received as recorded in our passage, it is fitting that we end in praise and worship of the One who deserves it. Through Jesus Christ we receive peace with God; resurrection; a good and eternal Shepherd who shed His blood to offer covenant with us; finished work in our lives; and the ability to please God. We, who did not deserve it.

He will receive all glory forever and ever. We worship Him now with songs and shouts of praise. We worship Him through obedient lives fully submitted to Him. Romans 12:1 says,

“I beseech you therefore, brethren,

by the mercies of God,

that you present your bodies a living sacrifice,

holy, acceptable to God,

which is your reasonable service.

He owes us nothing and we owe Him everything. James 1:17 reminds us He is the giver of every good gift. 1 Corinthians 15:57-58 encourages us in how we can enjoy Him, serve Him, and please the One who has given us everything,

“But thanks be to God,

who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, my beloved brethren,

be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord,

knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”

As we stand in awe of who He is and all He’s done for us, may we dive in even deeper, rest in Him, and get to know Him more fully.

Glory to the King!
