Journeying In Genesis: Working In Our Worship

There is none like our Creator. As we journey through the documentation of creation, let’s pause to worship the One who brilliantly planned and executed it. He commanded light to be, and it was. He commanded a firmament, and it was so.

“Indeed My hand has laid the foundation of the earth,

And My right hand has stretched out the heavens;

When I call to them,

They stand up together.”

Isaiah 48:13

Glory to the only One who can say that. Everything is his servant.

As I was writing, I began to ask Him to speak over my heart – to command those things that ought not be there to go and command those things that should be there to remain, grow, and bear much fruit. Psalm 51:10 came to mind,

“Create in me a clean heart, O God,

and renew a right spirit within me.”

We’re only on Day Two of creation and it’s been amazing to see the amount of work God has done. As we get still to worship, He is able to do some amazing work in our hearts. It’s exciting to realize that the Creator is still working today.

“Do not lie to one another,

seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices

and have put on the new self,

which is being renewed in knowledge

after the image of its creator.”

Colossians 3:9-10

And unlike us, He never grows weary as He works. Isaiah 40:28b says,

“The LORD is the everlasting God,

the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He does not faint or grow weary;

his understanding is unsearchable.”

Creator, praise You for Your excellence and wisdom. Praise You for Your strength and zeal. Thank You for all You are doing!
