2024 Updates, End of Year Giving, and Video Testimony
Greetings!
I’m so grateful for the opportunities Abide in Him had this year to proclaim the life changing Word of God.
I had several opportunities to share the Sovereignty of God retreat. I always enjoy being with sisters, and it does my heart good to hear the messages every time I share them. This year’s opportunities were with The Guest House Project where I shared and retreated; Kingdom Builders at Church of the Apostles where many ministries throughout Atlanta gathered along with their clients; and then with women at Keystone Baptist in the Fall.
I had the joy of teaching at Women of Gilgal and House of Cherith along with the usual Abide in Him classes. Thanks to Church of the Apostles Women’s Ministry, we were able to combine classes to study John 15 with sisters from both ministries at the church where lunch was provided. Debra McDavid shared her gift of singing and passion for the Lord and others to provide live worship. Such a blessing to be a part of it!
It’s so encouraging to see individuals and groups using the Abide in Him studies. I always love kicking off, visiting with, or speaking with groups doing them.
We continue to get letters from inmates and provide studies and sometimes letters to encourage the study of God’s Word.
In November my church asked permission to film a testimony of recent life events. It doesn’t come close to telling the whole story or the wonder of God using friends and family, etc. to help, but it does speak to His wondrous faithfulness. You can find the video here.
Along with what we do all year, some projects for 2025 include working on the creation messages for a devotional, along with a devotional of this year’s Advent blogs to send to recovery centers and inmates later in the year.
